Help! Hard start hot Not VP44

After about 4 months of hard to start when hot/warm my VP44 up and died. I bought a new(rebuilt) pump for $$$$ and installed it and all was well.

Now, about 13 months after installing the new pump I am having the same hard to start hot/warm symptoms as before!! I did not want to get stranded againg, so I sent this pump in for inspection & repair, to a completely different repair shop.

They said they took it apart, and could find NOTHING wrong. They said everything, diaphragm, seals, ecm, etc.. all looked good. Darn! I really thought it was the pump again. Now what??

Also the lift pump was replaced at the same time as the injection pump last year. Pressure at idle is 15psi, and never drops below 8-9psi floored pulling our loaded travel trailer up a steep grade.

Anyone have any ideas?

No........ How do I get this 'reflash'? Does this have to be done by a Dodge dealer? If so, any idea how much $$?

Also, I wonder why it worked ok the last 7 years without this reflash?

Thanks

Might also replace the fuel system relay in the fuse box under the hood. After I replaced my VP last year I could not get it to start. I replaced that relay and she fired up. might be under hood heat is affecting it negatively.

Just a dumb thought...

Here is the info on the reflash. I haven't done it myself, but I heard it solves the hot start problem for some. I think it cost about $300, at the Dodge dealer.
