Help...Cant' stop leak!

I replaced my water pump @ 150k miles. I put on a new pump from Cummins and I still would get coolant leaking from the pump area. I thought maybe it was a bad pump and they warrantied it.

I now put on another pump and I am still getting a leak from the pump. I tried putting a little silicone around the seal and still a leak!

Any ideas? Is it possible to leak coolant anywhere else near the pump. The coolant is definatley coming from underneath the water pump and puddles up on the "shelf" under the pump. Ever heard of this before? Thanks

What about the plate over the hole on the right side - it is near the pump - could that be leaking or some other place nearby?

Are you positive you aren't pinching the o-ring when you install the water pump? Sometimes it's the simple things.

Thanks for the replys. I think I figured it out. It looks like my headgasket is leaking in the front on the drivers side. The trail runs right undernead the water pump.

Yeah, I guess if you want to play...you have to pay. This will be my second headgasket.

I have no head experience on the Cummins but I've seen retourqing the head bolts stop external head gasket leaks.... worth a shot, worst case you have to replace the gasket, might buy you some time
