i have a 99 2500 stock and i can only get the temp little over 140 has had a recent radiator flush and been pluging it in everynight it is bout 30 degrees in the morning by the time i get a mile or two down the road its cold again and blowing cool air which i believe is hurting my fuel milage also was wondering if a grill cover would help me out and where i could get one any help would be great thanks

Put a CUMMINS or Premium Napa thermostat in it.
Cummins is MUCH preferred. You should have no issues at all getting to temp at 30ish degrees, but there are very few aftermarket thermostats that work correctly.

I agree with pat. I put a 190 in the truck in the fall and a 180 in the spring.
Crappy thing is that Cummins quit making the 180 from what I could find. I use the same thermostats; I don't buy new ones everytime. I store them in a container with coolant that I use so the o-ring doesn't dry out.
