Ok, so back in December I went home on leave (1300 miles) and while I was there the Holley decided to retire itself while I was driving and ended up having to drive the truck almost 1/4 mile with 1-2 pounds of fuel pressure. I pulled over when I could and replaced the Holley and its been fine ever since this week. So far 3 times in the last 2 days it has taken almost 2 seconds for the motor to fire and run. Could this be from an IP on it's way out? Mind you I have ran 2 stroke oil in the fuel for the last five months and I only need this thing to last another 3 and then it will be put in storage for 15 months. Any way to nurse this baby into storage?

Whats your fuel pressure? Filter clogging? Fuel leak? Error codes in computer? Check the usual stuff first.

Maybe but I doubt it, the killer of the IP is LONG peroids of low fuel pressure. Check the fuel filter and change if needed.

 

No codes or leaks. FP is 24ish idle 15 WOT. Changed the filter like 6k ago, think it's time to change again? What's yalls definition of a LONG time?
