greasing front end stuff???
hi all,is it a good or bad idea to grease all the moving parts in the frontend?i got a needle atachment for my grease gun and greased the tie rod ends and any other part with a rubber seal.is piercing these a bad idea?will water get in there now and cuase problems,it seemed to make the front end tighter, but was probaly imagination
I don't think it could hurt. The problem is that the grease isn't being applied to the back of ball joint itself, only around the top. But I guess it will work it's way into the joint eventually

I've installed fittings in quite a few zerkless 24 valves, easy job. You use a self-tapping zerk, drill the correct size hole though the top of the joint though the thin steel then all the way though the plastic under it. Screw in the zerk and grease away. You can get at most of the joints without removing anything just by removing the tires and turning the wheels from one side to the other.

I would love to see this set up... I know it would help keep the truck lube up... I know front end parts are expensive...
I would like to know what can and cannot be done before I start this one...
I don't want to ruin anything...
