Fuel Pressure Drops

Right now at idle with the pusher pump I have about 24 psi at idle whitch is really good. But with the injectors, and the box set on 5x5 or even 3x5 the fuel pressure drops down to about 10 psi. Does anyone know why it would loose this much pressure? Thanks

Eric

Are you sure your pressure gauge is good.

I'm thinkin that 's a bit high @ idle for the VP. Also assuming the LP is still there.

From what I have read 24 psi at idle is on the high side.

A drop of 14psi is significant.

Double check the gauge.

Cause of the drop could be:

dirty fuel filter
restrictions in the fuel lines - do you have high flow banjos or a high flow fuel line kit?
restriction in the pickup tube in the tank.

Good luck,

George
