fuel pressure

fuel pressure

I have a 99 24valve and im thinking about putting a fuel pressure gauge in it and i was wondering should i go for a gauge that goes up to 40 psi or one that can go up to 60 psi? thanks

30 psi would be best - depending on what kind of lift pump you have. If you have a stock pump, you can get away with a 0-15 psi guage.

ya right now i have the stock one, but later on i might upgrade it when i get a job that i can actually make sum money.

AirDog & FASS run approx 15#. VP doesn't like more than that. Get a gauge that will put 15 in the middle of the scale. Interesting that you've saved the gauge for after the bullydog & cold air intake.

If thats the case get a 0-30 psi guage

ok cool, ya im kinda new to the 99's i mean my old truck was an 89 an i didn't really turn anything up so i didn't really worry, but ya i started reading up an every1's saying to put one in and i would like to have one that way i can save my injector pump. an ive looked at bully dog and they dont seem to have any programmer that i can attach into mine that has the fuel pressure. plus i already have a display with the bully dog outlook with power enhancements so i figure i'll just add one on now haha, so i shouldn't have any problems with one that goes up to 40 psi? heres the one im looking at- http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo....ber=ISS-R17055 this one matches the oem gauges and they have a deal going on right now on their gauges and pods.
