fuel pressure

Smile fuel pressure

I have a 2001 dodge, I am wanting to know where u check the fuel presure for the lift pump and injection pump. Also what the presure should be. Thanks

I would suggest checking lp pressure just after filter and before injector pump. Mine is tapped in the connection to the Injector pump and pressure being anywhere from 10 to 20 psi according to what kind of lp you have. As far as injector pump pressure, don't know if anyone really keeps a check on that as this is a very high pressure.

There is a test port at the inlet to the VP injector pump. It has a cap and a schrader valve, similar to the old style air conditioning fittings. Pressure depends on what kind of pump and what you are burning in the tank. Idle should be around 10-12psi with a stock pump mounted to the engine block.
