Fuel Pressure?!?

I just got my truck I bought from Texas last night. Is there any way I can check the fuel pressure on the lift pump so I know where its at I am going to order gauges soon but for now I want to know what the lift pump is puttin out. Is there a schrader valve on the injection pump or anything I can tap into to check the pressure?

It should be on the line from the filter to the injector pump. It is the banjo bolt going into pump. Should be a plastic cap with schroeder valve.

when you test it, make sure you test at idle, cruising on the highway and wide open throttle. Most pumps "test" fine at idle, but any load and the number drop fast.

If you are getting gauges, just get that FP gauge in the kit! You'll be all set.
