Question Fuel Module Question

I have a 99 2500 with an intank pump setup. I am looking to just put a simple in out fuel pump on the rail and was wondering if I can just remove the intank pump from the module, extend the lines down into the canister and call it a day.

I see a lot of kits to upgrade it to 1/2" but i'm not needing that right now. It looks like all I would need to do is to remove the check valve for flow through the suction line and extend the lines on the suction and return lengthwise, reconnect and go. tell me if I am missing something here.

I don't see why not, I have seen people do it on gasser conversions.

Go to the Vulcan site and find the info on how to remove the pump and modify the valve. Their draw straw kit would probably be best.
