Re:fuel mileage

Driving 60% highway I get 18 mpg if I drive 65. Driving 75 it goes around 17 mpg. The EZ and Megacannon really helped.

Re:fuel mileage

Ive got a question. Ive have a 99 sb 4x4 quadcab and on cruise control going about 65 it will get about 15-17. thats pulling nothing and not gunning it either. Is this normal??? ive had the truck for less thana week. it runs great no hesitation very strong. Oh ya forgot to mention its on 35's mkaybe this makes a difference??? no guages yet.. want to put them on soon, does this void warranty/ dingo

Re:fuel mileage

Dingo, the guages won't void your warranty(and could prevent a costly repair) unless your dealer is VERY ****.
The fuel milage you're getting is about right for un-modified and big tires. It takes more power to turn those big meats.

Re:fuel mileage

I'm getting 14 right now everytime I fill up. I get 12mph pulling my 30' enclosed car trailer. In the summer I usually got around 17 city/highway combined. I want to check my highway mileage at 69-70 mph but my right foot just won't let me do less than 75!! ;D I think 18 is the best I've had yet with just highway miles....What more can you expect with a 7500lb truck??

Re:fuel mileage

I commute five days a week 115miles a day. I get 18-19 miles per gallon, and I am doing 70-75 mph. I tried droping speed down to 65mph (1950rpm's) and got 21mpg. I also run "stanidine" fuel suplement on every tank summer or winter, seems to help!
