Fuel Mileage

Ok, now that diesel is at $3.30 a gallon here i am trying to get all the fuel mileage i can. i drive about 100 miles a day and it takes a pretty good toll on my pocket book. i have a super chips programer and it doesnt give me any mileage gains. my truck is all stock except for the super chip and a green air filter. if anyone knows of a way to get some good mileage gains, let me know.
Thanks,
Joe

Interested in ideas as well...I've heard from a lot of folks things like intake, exhaust, some mild injectors can all make for improved mpg...

well the AFE intake i got helped out alittle bit, the exhaust did as far as around town driving, and as long as i kept it between 65-70 i got the best mpg on the interstate...back when all i had was the AFE and superchips (sold it for the TST) having it on level 3 i actually got the best hwy milage ever. from VA Beach to where my house is in SC (500ml) i got 24mpg running between 65-70.

i also topped off my tires every other week, run 1oz of ashless 2 stroke oil per gal, and a thing of Lucas injector cleaner per tank.

Aint these diesel prices rediculous!!!??? The AFE stg 2 intake def helped me out a little with mileage. If my foot wasnt so dang heavy with lead in it I would probally do better with mileage as well. But anyhow exhaust, intake, and chips do help with mileage. It just depends on if you are WOT all the dang time.

My 2001 6spd with Gearvendors OD and 4:10 gears gets me 22.7 around town this week and just got 25+ going to visit my daughter last weekend. I also have a super chips programmer set on the second setting (for towing no more then 6000#) and saw a slight increase in mileage but the temtation to really get on it is hard to resist.
