Fuel gauge off...sending unit?

Fuel gauge off...sending unit?

My fuel gauge is off by a quarter of a tank. I found out the fun way when it ran out of fuel with the gauge showing a quarter of a tank. My guess is that the sending unit in the tank is bad. Does that sound like the first place to start?

Yup, ive had this happen a few times, i would check then change the module!
