Fuel Gauge Incorrect
Mine just did the same thing, Thought WOW! this USLD winter diesel is THE ticket, getting great mileage all of the sudden, decieded to top it off before prices went up and put over 20gals into a tank that I thought would not hold over 16. According to my guage im getting 21+ mpg again, but this time I dont beleive it. At 135K figgure that its time to look at the sending unit, If this continues, drawstraw will be on order to do at same time as sending unit.

Mine is just the opposite. I just bought truck so I'm not fimilar with its qurks yet. Its not even road worthy (front end collison and bent frame behind cab). Anyway picked truck up week ago and noticed she was low on fuel. Took 5 gal's over to shop and dumped it in and guage never moved. Will go to empty and up to 1/8 tank. Must be a ground I'm hoping. same thing with me, got the truck a couple of months ago. driving it the first week i bought it and it ran out of fuel but the gauge showed still over 1/8 tank left! that sucked. now i just fill it up when it gets to half. maybe one day ill buckle down and drop the tank.
