Fuel filter question

Hello to everyone. My 2002 24 valve 4x4 gets it's fuel filter changed every 6-8,000 miles. Last time I did it, I got a filter from my local NAPA store rather than getting one from the Chrysler dealer. Napa gets about $14 and the Chrysler guy about $40. I was told that the NAPA filters do not have a fine enough filter to catch all the small particles like the Chrysler one does. I'm not really complaining about the difference in price, but more interested in whether or not I'm doing harm to the motor or injectors by using the NAPA product. Do any of you mechanics have any input on this? I'd appreciate hearing from you! Thank you.

They're probably both the same filter.
The only way the Dodge Parts counter can sell one to to use the 'scare' tactic on the unsuspecting.

The engine requires a 10 micron filter, NAPA should be able to give you that info. If you are still worried, get the filters from Cummins, they are about $18.

I usually use Baldwin filters. Where can you get Fleetguard filters at?

If you look closly at the NAPA fuel filter, somewhere on the black housing it should have the Fleetguard logo molded into it.
