Front Disc 2001-2002

Do you really need to replace the spindle nut and does it really need to be torqued to 280 foot lbs? my torque wrench only goes to 140 foot lbs.

is that a 2 or 4 wd?, if 2 wd replace the nut...i don't use a torque wrench on mine but i have wrenched for 40 years, so i can guess pretty close.

Thanks it is a 2 wd 1 ton and we were wondering if we could use Lock tite.
