Front brakes are dragging w\hard peddle.

OK. 1998.5 24v 2500 4x4 ,5-speed, 4wheel abs, rear drums.
Driving everything is fine untill I can tell the front brakes are dragging, egt go higher, brake peddle gets firm right at the top(brakes do work and have slight vibration). I'll stop and check the front brakes are hot, hydroboost lines are hot(normal?),and if I shut engine off and wait a minute everything is back to normal including the brake peddle. This had been going on for a while so here's the new parts list:
Rotors(POWERSLOTS)
calipers
pads(EBC GREEN STUFF)
rear drums
both front hubs\wheelspeed sensors(TIMKEN, very nice units)
OH and my MPG Sucks as you could imagine it would riding the brake would do.
I just ordered a new Hydroboost and Royal P fluid.
Thanks for any imput

had a similiar problem keep an eye out from the PS to start acting up.

I just replaced my PS- pump, steering box, lines, as they all work in conjunction with each other, I hope for you sake its not a pump because its a PITA, i have seen alot of them going out of late.

Have you ever changed youre brake hoses? Its fairly common for the insides of the hoses to break down and act kind of like a check valve. lets fluid into the caliper but not out - which can cause some dragging of the pads.

Have not done the front hoses yet, that would be something to simple(so thats probably it!). I replaced the hydro boost tonight and the steering is a lot stronger, peddle is more consistant and after shutdown I have power brakes for a couple pushes, which it never did. Hoping that was it, headed over east of the mountians for hunting so I'll see if it's gone. If not front lines are next. Thanks for the imput.
