Front Axle Seal leaking?

My 2000 passenger side axle seal is leaking. Kinda sucks since I just replaced the ENTIRE front steering system and components. How can I fix this, or can I, without ripping the front end apart? Pics of the install or a link would help as well.

well, Its possible that if your truck is like mine, (and others) you may be over filled in the diff. The level should be about 3/4" below the fill hole and the leak should stop. I know if i fill mine to the hole it leaks

That cannot be the case, its been leaking for quite some time. You can tell by the amount of build-up on the hub.

AND you want to take the 3 minutes required to find tools & pull the plug to confirm. Checking will also let you know you're not running dangerously low.

That said, there is a nice pictorial somewhere showing how. Someone probably has it bookmarked. It isn't overly difficult but is time consuming. Also, 01 FSM has procedure and is on pdftown.

a problem i have noticed on these axels is sometimes the breather vent gets pluged up and the pressure builds up and leaks at the weakest point

Mine leaks, like you said before they will leak if they are to full. This also occurs if you park of a hill etc so that it could seap through the seal
