So I found a brand new oil filter today still sealed from fleet guard in the shop don't know why we even have it. Its a LF3970 Stratapore and after three pages of searches came up with no real answer weather or not this filter will work for my 2001.

 

you can go to http://www.fleetguardfilters.com/index.html and cross it over, its for your truck or any ISB 5.9L, i found a couple other places to confirm too
