Fass noise question

My lift pump is dying (I know, there's a surprise), and I am having a Fass HPFP (95 model, not 150) installed tomorrow. I was just wondering if there were any groups made that were "noisier" or "older design" pumps, and is there any way to identify them before they get installed and my ears tell the story? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think anything you get now is the "quiet" pump. They have a machined looking silver body.

Thumbs up Fass noise question - Fass HPFP installed

Thanks for the reply. My pump is silver in color, and it is quiet... Fuel pressure is now 15-16 psi at idle, and 12-13 psi wot. Peace of mind at last...

Mine is just me high performance fuel pump, not the while shebang. It is mounted to the front cross brace on the bottom of the bed on the driver's side.

Got an update for any older pumps that might not have the update. Basically anything that was made before Dec 1, 2006 did not have the noise update. If you got your pump, say after Feb of 07....chances are you have the update......AND EverydayDiesel, you have the update...i saw your SN on a pic you posted on another thread.

Here is a link to the Update Info:
