Fan Clutch nut Q

Clockwise or counter clockwise?
Sucker is on there tight and I just want to be sure I'm going the right way.

On a 2nd gen its counterclockwise. 3rd gen is clockwise.
Tap on the wrench with a beater.

I hope I was clear.
Left hand threads on the 2nd gen. On 3rd gen it has standard right hand.

Look at the fan blades which will indicate cw or ccw, rotate the fan in that direction - the wp shaft should screw into the clutch nut during normal rotation.

Keeps the nut tight.

On my 2001 2500 standing looking at the fan clutch from the front it is clock wise to the right when you are removing it.

That's what I was thinking.
I should use the right terms since I wasn't clear about tightening or loosening.
