I need to replace my fan and fan clutch, both were damaged. Iv'e been checking around a local salvage yards, and wondering what year fans and fan clutches are interchangable??

I have a 1999 24 valve. Are earlier 2ndGen 12 vavles the same fan?

 

Salvage yard can give correct interchange.

 

I suppose they could, I just tend to trust DTR members more when it comes to these trucks/engines.

 

I would think that any fan/clutch combo from a 2nd gen diesel would work.
