6 blade or 8 blade turbo

Im looking at an upgrade for my turbo (60mm). is the 6 or 8 blade better?

What exactly would the differences be? if any

And does the upgrade from gillett come with the compressor housing seal? the big o- ring.

6 blade is best for the hx40, 8s usually arent 60mm and have a narrower map.

I think he is talking about an H1C upgrade.

the six blade wheel will push slightly more air and is a lot louder than the 8 blade wheel, and no niether upgrade comes with the big O ring

My 6 blade wheel gets annoying somtimes

The 6 blade grabs just a tad more air, but nothing you would feel.

I must have mistakenly ordered the silenced version because I still can’t hear the thing whine.

Here is a comparison between a stock H1C and the CH-02 upgrade from Gillette Diesel Service.

You got it. The 6 blade is better, but you wouldn't notice a difference.

I have run many HX40s and the 6 blades seem to spool faster and make more boost than the 8s. JMHO.

Off subject, but.....

If a HX40 is 6-blade, does that mean it is a Super 40?

IIRC the "super" 40 was a 60mm inducer, & 64 ex. wheel in a 14 housing.
