explain waste gate operation...
How does the waste gate operate
I see a smal short black rubber hose comming of the turbo air exit. The rubber hose goes to a diaphram canister(?) which has a rod that goes to a small lever on the exhast turbine houseing.
Is this how it works? Air boost at a certain psi going to the canister diapram through the smal black rubber pushes the rod that moves the little lever on the exhaust side houseing and opens somekind of bypass inside the exhaust turbine . The exhaust bypasses causeing the turbines to slow and not building anymore boost?
Or explain how it works...

Here is a link to a post in the classifieds that has a picture of the internal waste gate valve. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...1&cat=8&page=1
