Exhaust temp higher than normal

Why would my manifold temps be higher now than they were a year ago? I have an 02 with 118K. I was on the Interstate over the week-end pulling a trailer at 75 and flat and level with no wind I was running around 1000 deg. A slight hill would easily take me to 1200 or more. Seems to me in the past I had to have a mountain to get 1300 and that would just be short periods. Just wondered if there is something I need to be checking.

checked your air filter latley? when mine starts to creep a little higher than normal usally my filter is on its way out to need change or cleaned what ever your situation would be. boost leaks would cause that too but id think you would notice a boost leak.

Thanks Jason.

No whisper of lover, no trilling of bird
Can stir me as hooves of the horses have stirred.

I use the AFE filter and it has recently been cleaned and oiled.

No offense, but many have a tendency to over oil... which could possibly block air flow. Check intake tube for oil as evidence of over oiling.
Just trying to eliminate possibilities

Boost leak, as mentioned, will also cause higher temps. Boost level normal... sound normal?

If it was not getting air I would think performance would be affected. It does not seem to be an issue.
