Good afternoon all. I just pulled off my spark arrestor and muffler and I am going to replace it with straight pipe. I was wondering if anybody has done this and if it caused any trouble codes.

Lots of folks have straight-piped their trucks, myself included and I have not heard of anybody getting any codes set. I really love the sound of mine now. When you make that Cummins work a little bit,,,,,, she sure sounds good! ;D

Had mine straight piped for closing in a year. I love it. Still puts a ;D on my face the size of Texas when I drive it.

 

I am using a 4&quot; pipe and ATS muffler that has no restriction and haven't had any problems whatsoever. Sure does sound good though.

 

Hey sombody stole my EPA stuff in 99. Since then I added 5 inch stacks. The sound puts a ;D on my face every time I crank the old girl up. Never a code problem.<br><br>Hired Gun
