I have a visible crack in my exhaust manifold, and will be ordering up a replacement soon. Any suggestions about good place to order one up to a small Alaska town? Also, could this crack be causing the louder than normal whistling under accel.?

Yes, the crack is what is making the whistle. Are you planning on replacing the stocker with an ATS manifold?

 

I'm thinking about the ATS. I've been searching the site and reading up about it. I am a little nervous about getting in over my head with what sounds like a tricky installation.

I understand that the ATS does not cost a whole lot more than the stock manifold and it'll probably last the life of the truck.

 

I found one at Extreme diesel cheaper than anywere else.
