My switch which is mounted on the shifter in a very easy to activate location has a little red light when engaged that lights up and also "Cummins" logo on the side of the switch. I believe the exhaust brake is what Dodge put in as an option back then {2006} I am the second owner so I don't know for sure. I'am not sure but I think the newer trucks come with an exhaust brake.
