engine surge
engine surge
My 2000 ram 3500 has an engine surge between 40 to 45 mph. It only happens when I'm stuck at that mph. If I can get through to high gear without getting held up @ the 40 to 45 mph area It seems normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
doesn't seem to be. I had this situation happen several years ago with this truck and mech. determined it was the alternator. can't believe it could be happening again.
Maybe that is what is going on with my '01.
I seems to surge 125RPM or so if I hold steady low throttle.
It does it quickly like a three or four surges in less than a second.
If I drive it at more than 1/4 throttle it seems super smooth and with lots of power.
I got no codes when I used a scanner.
I will check the grounds, as it would be a sweet cheap fix!
