I reset the codes by unhooking the batteries and turning the ignition key to crank and then rehooking up the batteries and starting the engine. The PCU codes were 1388 and the 1693. The ECU Codes was 1689. 1693.

So I'm thinking there is either a sporadic open between the tow computer modules or something wrong with one of 'em .

I've noticed in the blogs out there that others have enjoyed this , but have never seen anything definite on the cause or cure.

The problem is now moot, I had the unfortunate event of smashing the truck beyond repair.. The frame is fractured and the cabin twisted - front end collision....

 

Sorry to hear about that, at least you are OK, trucks can be replaced.......
