engine stand for the 5.9
Do you guys think this engine stand would be sufficient for one of our motors?

I have seen guys use these engine stands but mount the engine off of the motor mount in the center of the engine, usually the right one, this keeps access to the fuel pump. This keep the weight closer to the stand. I will just bend if you mount it the regular way.

Ive used the Harbor Freight 2000 lbs. folding engine stand, worked great. Although I left it on the cherry picker until all the front drive stuff was removed. Probably unnecessary but I would rather error on the side of caution.

It will hold the block only, but it will be headed towards the floor. I just had mine on a napa 1000 lb stand, and it was scary. I would put the 50 bucks towards a bigger stand.

Here's my rule of thumb.
Never buy anything from Harbor Freight that can Kill you or cause damage to anything expensive. I have a store near me and love it!
