engine 'bogging'
My truck has developed a hesitation. The best way to describe it is as if you hit a big gust of wind, or ran through a big water puddle.
I changed fuel filter, and lift pump is good. Runs 15 at idle, about 13 at 70MPH. When it starts bogging, the lift pump pressure actually starts to rise.
It only does it for about 1, or 1-1/2 seconds at a time. When it does it, it seems to do it for about 20 miles, then will clear up for 100-150-200-300 miles, then start again.
Another thing, definately does it with the cruise on. Running by foot feed, I can't be sure if it's doing it or not. I really don't think so, but not sure if the cruise just makes it more noticeable.
Any ideas???
P.S.! I also unhooked the comp box, and it still does it.

Yup! Re-set the APPS a little while ago, to try to get rid of a surging problem. It seemed to work then.
I'm thinking the same as you though, Mr.Evil, and am suspecting the APPS. I just don't (can't) spend that kind of money on a hunch. I can't believe in todays day and age, they'd put something on a truck that can't be properly tested.

Sorry, just got back home again.
No codes coming up on the odometer.
Funny thing is, it seems to have stopped. Just put on about 4,000 miles, and it hasn't done it.
I'm thinking possible electrical problem. When it does it, it acts the same way as when I was pulling a travel trailer, and the cord came untucked and started dragging on the pavement, wearing through the cable. Whether it was shorting across the worn through wires, or grounding against the pavement, I don't know, but the truck acts the same way. I've done a 'visual' on the stock truck trailer wiring, but everything seems OK.
