Now that you mention that I did just change the blower motor. It is a cheap one and I'm sure not designed to run "electrically quiet". If I unplug the Dewalt charger (very "noisey") it doesn't do it at all!

Installed the DTT filter and the problem is fixed. Nice people to deal with and they know their stuff. That's Diesel Transmision Technology.
