i agree with the possible leak, i had a leak in the vacuum pump for years.....i finally got off my butt and fixed it, now i only use maybe one quart every 15,000 miles i change oil between 15,000 and 20,000 miles......i now have 241,000 miles on it

dont really see any leaks, turbo seals will suck oil?? pretty much an original truck. it must be sucking thru the truck or blow by when driving cause there's only a few drops on the ground when it set all night.

Going through that much oil with no sign of leaks, I think I'd also be yanking the boost tube, and/or elbow to have a look.

It could be spewing oil into the intake air stream, or out the exhaust...

If so, it would be leaving oil in the tube from turbo to intercooler, or in the exhaust side.

With my truck, anyway, it has to sit for quite a while before the dipstick reads true.

It's weird, my truck did something similar as well years ago. Changed oil, headed to upstate Ny. Checked oil here at home, got into the welcome center in Ky and after coming back out from restroom saw puddle of oil under truck. Oil level way down, luckily keep a gallon in the truck. Topped her off and worried for the next 550 miles. When I got to Ny I let her sit, checked the oil level and dead on perfect. Drove 800 miles back home and never had a problem again. Can't explain it to this day....might have been the one time I used smelltella and she was throwing up!
