DTC Error Codes.

I just bought a 1999 Dodge 2500 4x4 CTD. The original owner had programmed the truck with a Hypertech, He had the dealer flash his comp with updates for more positive shifting positions or something like that. Well I found out that a Dealer Flash will blow out the Hypertech tuning, so I hooked up the Hypertech to confirm where the truck was at. But before I could do anything it said I had two DTC's One was a ( P1693 ) and the second was ( P0122 ) I looked around a bit and it seems the 1693 indicates that an error fault was registered in the ECM Is the 1693 pointing to the P0122 which according the info Im getting is a low voltage situation on the Throttle Position Sensor. Any experience you guys have with this would be appreciated..

BTW, I cleared the DTC's and confirmed my Hypertech tuning to the first level, I didnt go max because I'm still waiting for gauges to get here.. Then I will go Max and be able to monitor it ..

Thanks.

Yes, the 0122 is stored in the ECM, and the 1693 is stored in the PCM to let you know there is a code in the ECM.

Two computers don't talk together well.

Should I worry?

What should I do about the P0122 then should I check later to see if it codes again, if so then what?

I'd clear it and see if it comes back.

If it does, start with the APPS reset procedure,
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...n&onlynewfaq=1

If that doesn't fix it, there is a lenghthy procedure for setting the voltage, do a search for APPS here, and you should be able to find it.

If that doesn't fix it, then a new APPS in needed, and they aren't exactly cheap,
many have found them on Ebay, but IMHO, buyer beware.

Accelerator
Pedal
Position
Sensor.

No physical connection between the "gas pedal" and the engine, fly by wire.
