About 2 weeks ago I was hauling my jeep and all the sudden-no power. Pulled off the interstate at my exit checked every thing out. Truck ran fine all the way up the mountains and back home. A few days later while hauling horses, dead pedal, white smoke, surging all that stuff. Took off my ez and went to town and got it scanned and had p0216, p1689 and so I ordered a new IP. I have since drove it to town w/o ez on and it acts fine, I even hauled 3 horses in tonight(25 miles one way) and home w/o any problems. My IP is supposed to be here tommorrow. It just seems weird that one day it acts up and another it is fine. Its getting replaced anyway because I dont trust it. Just some thoughts.

 

Sounds like the injection pump. I'd send the EZ back to edge and see if they can diagnose a problem with it also.

 

Actually it has been acting up with or without the ez on it. I am planning on sending it in to get reflashed. thanks bllue.

 

Well it shows the error code for failed IP Pump... Not much else to do but to replace the IP.
