Do I have an injector going bad?

When I started my truck this morning it started puking out tons of white smoke and sounded like it was down a cylinder, couldn't really tell for sure it was sputtering so bad. After about a minute it kinda cleared up then after about two minutes the three cylinder high idle kicked in and it ran normal. It started fine the rest of the day. It was about -5 degrees and the truck hadn't been plugged in, I cycled the grids twice before I started it, this is the third winter I've had this truck and it's never done this before. Also I noticed that while driving to work this morning and on my way home tonight that it would miss a little bit for the first couple miles until it got a little heat built up. The truck has 103,xxx miles and is still running the original set of injectors. Any thoughts? Let me know if you need more info. Thanks.

Josh

It's got a full tank of winter blend plus powerservice. I've run it in a lot colder temps than what it was this morning and never had problems.

Okay, so maybe they had a weak batch of winter blend? If thats true I probably don't have much to worry about. I just found it very odd because it has never done that before and it's seen much colder temps. Thanks for the input guys.

Is there a reason your not plugging it in? Plug it in and the problem should go away. If it doesn't, then you can dig farther. I think that will resolve it though. When I drove big trucks, they always puked tons of white smoke sitting at a motel without a plug in, till they warmed up.

It's not plugged in right now because I'm in the midst of a rewiring project at my house. It should be done this weekend so I'll be able to plug it in for the rest of the winter. When I started it this morning it wasn't near as bad as yesterday, I think some of that has to do with the fact it only sat for 6 hours and didn't have time for everything to completly cool down.
