Ok, I have an 05, 5.9 cummins with a 6 speed and a dual disk southbend. I am running an edge juice with attitude.The other day, I accelerated quickly to pass and noticed what I would call a stumble. It was like the key was turned of and right back on. It done it during the middle of the power band. I turned the programmer to every level and it done it on all of them except with it turned completely off. The code it threw was "p2146" for bank 1 injectors. A day or two later, i noticed that my edge display wasn't working properly. It would show Eng temp at 40 and egt at 30 (the numbers may have been the other way around, I cant remember). Sometimes the display would read right and sometimes it wouldn't. It would also change levels on me. I spoke to a local diesel mechanic about this before I realized that the programmer was acting up. He said I was losing an injector and that it was more noticeable because of the longer pulse with the programmer. Does this sound right? or is the programmer the culprit? Any ideas?

I had a similar problem happen to me last year with the same code. Truck stumbled 3 or 4 times while trying to get home from work. I got home and disconnected the Edge, cleaned all the connections then put everything back together. Turned out the map was a little loose. Its been fine since.

 

What do you mean the map was a little loose?

The map sensor connections somehow came loose. I think I messed it up when I tapped the lines for my smoke swicth

 

ok, thanks! I've already removed the box, and am thinking about sending it to edge to get it updated anyways. hopefully, they will be able to tell me why the display isn't working

 

Edge has a great customer service. I'm sure they'll get you squared away.. Get ya the hot unlock when you send it back

 

Ya, want to do that and add the turbo timer. I have the original style display and would like to update to the new touch screen, but I doubt I will. It seems a little to much $ to me.
