Diagnostic Tool

Has anybody had experiance with or purchased a Quickcheck III from Cummins??

I'm interested in the platform (Palm device) and was wondering if this was worth it.

I just want to peek in and see if there are any gremlins loose once in awhile.

Are there any generic tools out there??

I have it and it's decent for monitoring engine parameters and pulling codes, but it can't reset them. Another downside is that it has to plug into the engine data port - so it means unplugging the EZ to be able to use it. I bought an Auto Xray scanner that can pull and reset codes on most OBD equipped vehicles including the CTD.

I bought an OBD-II scan tool that works on 1996 and later cars and light trucks including the Dodge Cummins and it works great, it can pull codes and reset them too.
It plugs into the OBD port under the steering wheel and it hooks up to a laptop or palm and it was only $200 from Harrison R&D www.ghg.net/dharrison
