HELP - My gear will not drop to a lower gear and looses power all the time and then all of a sudden it will kick back in and take off like a bat out of hell. Does anyone know what ois going on with it?

Sounds like my truck, but mine is a 6spd so I don't have the "gear down" problem. Check your codes, I'll bet you come up with a 0216 code, which is usually a dead or dying injection pump. Good Luck

 

Thanks, I know there is a lift pump and then the main injector pump, so the 0216 code means which pump is gone or going?
