Dead lift pumps caused by temp. changes?

There are 6 threads in this forum about dead/dieing lift pumps. Since it's March, and the temps are riseing again, is it possible that the temp change could cause these lift pump failures. It seems that 2 or 3 times a year, there's alot more posts about dead/dieing lift pumps or injection pumps on here. Seems like right when it starts getting cold is the other time. Just wondering if there is any correlation between the two.

Nope- don't think it the temp.

Seems to be more related to; if you regularly run the tank below 1/4 before fueling up.

Not sure what to chalk it up to. I always ran down well below 1/4 tank for 130,000 on the first one. Ditched the 2nd one for a Holley Blue. Original VP.

Then again, the beast may not make it out of the drive tomorrow....
