Dead Injection Pump?

This is what I got
0253 Fuel Valve Open Circuit
0118 ECT sensor volts too high
1688 Internal injection pump failure
1689 No communication between ECM and injection pump

Truck just died while cruisin down the road, cranks over but nothing happens. Sounds like a dead inj. pump to me, let me know if it could be anything else.
Thanks

No 0216? First, I would look for a loose wire, bad plug, worn wire, etc.

I'd start with the EZ and TST connections.

I'd say you will be getting a new VP. P0216 is a timing failure. Hard to set a timing failure code when you get the real kiss of death, the 1688.

You have a dead IP. With your mods you might want to consider a hot rod VP as a replacement. That is if you can wait a few days to get it shipped to you.

The first thing I did was unhook the EZ and TST, but still no go. So it looks like its time for a new pump, and I think a hot rod VP is what Im looking for because future plans also include some healthy injectors and probably twins, well after the tranny of course. Now where can I get a hot rod VP and are they any more reliable or better quality than a stock replacement pump. Basically will they last just as long or longer than a stock replacement. I dont know how many companies offer hot rod pumps, but are they all the same, or should I be going somewhere specific for mine. Last thing, how much for a hot rod pump, and how much for a stock one.
Thanks

Is the blue chip pump also upgraded in the same ways as other hot rod VP's, as in the SO and HO components to allow it to flow more fuel?

He can modify to be a hot rod for additional cost. his base cost is $1600.00 plus $1400.00 core charge.
