Danger ...Throttle Position Sensor

The throttle position sensor on the 98.5 to 2000 years has a miniture computer under the top... Do not I repete do not drill a hole into it. This sensor is not like the one pictured in the fix previous articles on how to fix the TPS. This sensor controls the siginal to the VP44 and engine speed....

The TPS on 94 - 98 12v's is completely different than the APPS (TPS) on the 98.5 and later 24v's.....as you have discovered, the same tips and tricks do not work on the APPS as they do on the earlier TPS......FWIW, the APPS does seem to be much more durable than the TPS.
