CTD warranty??

I'm currently looking for my first CTD and was wondering if I'm correct that the truck will have a 100K drivetrain warranty? Is the lift pump and injection pump covered? Tranny or clutch? I'm looking for a '01-'02 with less than 60K and would feel better if I knew that stuff is covered in case it shows up soon after I buy. It would suck to have to come up with a bunch of cash right after plunking down the large down payment.

I don't think I violating any posting rules here, but you might notice I just put my 01 up for sale in the DTR classifieds. It meets your criteria, infact it exceeds it because both the bumper to bumper 36k warranty and the engine to 100k warranty are still in place.

Tranny is covered under 3/36 and clutch is considered a wear item (not covered) unless there is a manufacturing defect I believe.

Steve10 The Motor is under the 100'000 mile warranty as well as the lift pump, Providing that the service has been performed as required. The tranny is 3/36 I bought my truck used and went through a local dealer. I made sure the fluids were changed and that the services prior to my purchase was gauranteeded by the dealership. I would guess that if you buy through a private buyer that you should get the service record record of the truck.I have been happy with mine since my purchase and feel confident that it was taken care of.
BTW have the dealer pull a carfax report and check their computer for service and repairs,

Cummins warranty covers:
1: Engine block and internal parts.
2: Cylinder head and valves.
3: Water pump and gasket
4: Injection and lift pumps
5: Gaskets and seals ( engine only )
6: Emissions system
NOT COVERED under the 5/100
1: Starter, alternator, AC system
2: Sensors ( oil psi, temp.)

If you have problems with the above listed sensors, go to a Cummins dealer. Or take a large quantity of vasoline with you to the Dodge dealership. Example: Oil Pressure switch ( not a variable sending unit, simply an on/ off switch).
Cummins= $67.11
Dodge= $190.00
