Looking at 99 with cracked block, guessing 53. Just over 100k mi. 4 wd, auto, extd cab, Long bed. ok-good shape. Whats it worth? Whats easiest fix?
Buy complete motor out of wrecked truck, sell left over parts?
I'm thinking of offering $2500, might go $3000.

 

Check my thread below...I am in a similar situation after buying a 99 CTD with bad motor. I am building an engine and will probably have about $1800 in the build and I paid about the same for the truck...But I didn't have to get a block but I've seen several short engines go for less than $800 on ebay...
