when I press on off button cruise would not light up under odometer.tried several times on a one hour round trip with truck shut off for 1.5 at destination.stopped at store near home and tried again and it lit up but not going fasst enough to try.will consult servce manual this morning.

 

Check the fuses, but it's most likely the switch on the wheel.

 

I have seen this happen on my 01.5 a few times but it only happens when I turn the engine brake on and off a few times with CC in on position.IM thinking the ECM is seeing something it doesnt like and turns it off. after I stop and restart the engine it seems to reset and work fine, this has been going on for as long as i have had the truck . its a pain but for me as long as i turn CC off be for flipping engine brake switch its fine. hope you figure it out . let us know if you find something out?
