Real simple, it sits right below the fuel canister and above the starter. Access is from below.
Disconnect negative battery cable.
Remove 3 bolts securing starter and position starter out of the way.
Spray CKP with penetrating lube and use a scribe to scrape around the outer diameter of the sensor where it joins the side of the block.
Gently pull the sensor out by hand.
Replace new sensor and put everything else back together in reverse order.
Mine was not so simple. The top of my CKP broke off when I grabbed it and pulled. I ended up beating it in to the crankcase and it now has a new home at the bottom of my oil pan. Yay!
It's been there for 2 years now and has never created a problem for me. Some day I'll drop the pan, but not anytime soon
