Crankcase breather
Crankcase breather
There was a fix a while back to replace the little can that screws into the front cover that the crankcase vent hose hooks on to, I dont remember who makes it and a search didnt turn it up,anyone know?
I have had a hose on it since new(2001.5) no bottle, hose ends up under the tranny pan, no problem except always had a few drops of oil on the driveway,I remember seeing a conversion, unscrew the "can" on front of timing cover where the hose hooks on and replace it with another "can" that has some baffles inside and put the hose back on,did a search and cant find the manufacture, It also had a small hose out the bottom that returned the oil to the crankcase,I believe it said there is a hole with a plug in it underneath the injection pump, you remove the plug and connect this drain hose to this hole andthe oil runs back into the crankcase instead of out the breather hose that comes out of the top of this "can".
