Couple of questions

How bad does yall's trucks shake when you turn em off? Mine seems to be getting almost violent. It really shakes up the whole truck. The shocks only have maybe 10K on them. Also, when I first start the truck in the morning and drive off, the brakes start squealing like a stuck pig. After about 5 minutes of this god awful noise (I guess once they heat up), they quit. What could be going on? My trucks got 53,770 miles on it. Thanks for the help yall.

Do all the simple things 1st.-tighten your mounts...at 50000 you might be a ready for a pad replacement up front ,do some looking I guess.

Has it been really cold when you hear this "brake squealing"? The reason I ask is that the brakes are hydroboost and use the power steering pump for assist pressure. It is pretty common for the power steering pumps to make a horrendous moaning on cold mornings.... it quits when the fluid warms up.

It is very cold when it does that (40 or so. Hey, I'm in south texas, that's cold for us ). It usually quits when it warms up. I know for a fact it's the brakes squealing. This is the second set of pads I've had on this truck.

My back brakes were the ones squealing on the cold mornings especially with high humidity. I pulled my rear hubs and used brake cleaner on the shoes and hubs. There was a buildup of brake dust that was similar in consistency to a thin layer of old grease. I cleaned all that up with steel wool and cleaner and lubed the pivot points and springs and the squealing disappeared.
