Coolant replacement?

I am going to replace the coolant in my 02 this next weekend. Was wondering what you guys recomend for coolant. Are those flush kits at napa ok to use on these trucks?

I just did mine a week ago. I also pulled the radiator because it was pretty gunked up from the crankcase vent bottle thingy. I just ran a longer hose down behind the diff.

Anyways, I used Zerex G-05. I flushed the system by dranning the radiator and filling it up with water. Then I started my engine and got the temps up so the T-stat would open and flush the coolant out of the block. You can tell when it opens by feeling the top rad. hose and feeling if it's warm. I drained the rad. again, filled it with water and ran it again. It sometimes takes a few times but that's all I did.

I added 3 gallons of coolant mixed with about 1.5 gallons of distilled water and poured it in. I just added water as needed and checked the level every day for a few days.

Oh.. I mixed the coolant like that because I knew I had somewhere around a gallon or two of water in my block that wasn't draining. The whole systems takes about 6 gallons of coolant so I just made sure I added 3 gallons of coolant to make it 50/50.

I usually just take out the thermostat, bolt the outlet back up, turn the heater on wide open, then flush water through the top hose and unhook the bottom hose for it to drain out. Then flush the top of the radiator and let it drain through the bottom. This will get the block, heater core and radiator.
